Not new for the square or even the park, but new to me!VC41Mothshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17263945533123756002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541969416563942273.post-75485489715448391752017-04-23T11:05:21.107+01:002017-04-23T11:05:21.107+01:00Thanks Paul.

It is a lighting effect if they look any different.

Coincidentally, the day before on the same patches of Ramsons, I saw Bibio marci (St Mark's Fly) and looking at Aderyn that could be another new species for ST08. Good stuff this Ramsons.
Howard Burthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15140736388789494773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7541969416563942273.post-59936171862228755682017-04-22T22:54:34.373+01:002017-04-22T22:54:34.373+01:00Well done, always exciting to find a new species a...Well done, always exciting to find a new species at 10k square level. I haven't recorded Portevinia maculata but I shall start looking at flies on ransoms. I was expecting it to be a much duller insect with grey spots, based on Ball and Morris and other sources. I didn't realise it could have fairly bright yellow spots.Paul Seligmanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18370438884642104930noreply@blogger.com
