Rare insects from the Llynfi valley, Maesteg.
Vagrant emperor found by Craig Furlong on 12th November
The horsefly Atylotus fulvus, found by Paul Tabor in July.
That's a fantastic fly! Looking at photos online, it looks more like Atylotus fulvus than rusticus (the latter species being greyer, and even rarer).
