I too had a good crop of grapes this year, the first summer in ten years that it has been hot enough to ripen the variety that's in my garden in fact! We are descended upon most years by flocks of starlings feeding on Dogwood berries, in fact there are sometimes so many birds that I end up with piles of discarded seeds underneath the eaves of the house. It can be a bit hazardous venturing outdoors as a startled flock of Starlings drop their 'little surprises' (bright purple of course) as they dash overhead!
