Rove beetle query
Following an identifiction suggestion by George, I searched the net for info on Rove beetles and came across an image that looks very similar to something that appeared in the trap last September. Could this be an image of Deleaster dichrous?
It certainly looks like it from the NatureSpot image and text, which I guess you've probably seen: http://www.naturespot.org.uk/species/deleaster-dichrous
Sounds like quite an uncommon species - well done for identifying it.

Steve Bolchover (County Recorder for Beetles) is also happy with the determination!

Thanks both for the confirmation. Looking at the map I appear to have been quite lucky to have seen this little beast.
