Any ideas?
This 1cm long pupa was found on the underside of
a Beech leaf in Dunraven gardens yesterday. There
were a few Harlequin ladybirds in the ice tower also.
A hoverfly, looks like a larva rather than a pupa, but maybe just in the process of pupating.
ReplyDeleteI agree with that George, the stumpy projection on the posterior is a breathing tube which is characteristic of hoverflies.
