December Harvestmen
Two visits this month - the first on 02 December, which I am confident is Opilio canestrinii, and the second on 16 December. I'm not really sure about the second one - it looks like an oddly coloured O. canestrinii, but not sure. Would appreciate confirmation/correction for this one..

Hi Howard, I've also seen canestrinii this month, on the house wall (at least two individuals). It's a bit of a whopper isn't it.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the second one is canestrinii as the legs look too short (and not dark enough), but I'm certainly no expert. Greg Jones is the man for these.
Thanks George.
DeleteHi Howard, Check out Opilio saxatilis, I think it is a female.
ReplyDeleteAll the best

Thanks Mike, that looks good .... the leaves are approx 10mm across so that would fit size-wise as well.
