Stenophylax permistus query
Found this in last night's moth trap. Has the appearance of Stenophylax permistus .... but in February? Are any caddisflies on the wing at this time of year?
Just checked my records and I had S permistus on 22 February 2014 (at Coed y Bedw). The other Stenophylax needs ruling out too, but it isn't as common and isn't supposed to fly so early in the year.
I don't do Caddis, I'm afraid, but I've been getting them throughout this winter.

ReplyDeleteThis has now been confirmed by Ian Wallace as a female S permistus.
